How to Fix Your Finances!

Negative cashflow is the last thing anyone wants, especially in the current economic climate, however for many it is a real and pressing issue that needs to be addressed.

The problem is that often those who find themselves in this position have for years been conditioning themselves to ignore their financial problems, pretending that they don’t exist, and even spend more money to make themselves feel better rather than dwell on or better deal with their immediate problem.

The good news is that its not all your fault. Many of us have been conditioned to develop poor money management skills, whether thats from school or from our parents. Its just, it was something that was never addressed, or broken down to be best understood.

However, if you continue as you are it will no longer be anyone’s fault, but your own. Like many things in life, the success formula is quite simple, rarely easy but simple yes. Take losing weight, millions of exercise devices, diets books, videos and dvds, gym memberships and dieting pills have been sold all over the world but what it boils down to is - “move more, and eat less.”

In other words, get active and burn more fuel than you put in. Financial success is the exact same.

So here’s the plan if you’re in financial “hot water.”

1. Start to earn more - this could mean working overtime, getting a new or better job, getting some extra work in the evenings or starting a low cost part time business. The internet is perfect for anyone considering setting up a low cost part time business. Low set ups costs and overheads, zero employees, rent or finance payments and a shop that’s open 24/7.

Decide how much you’d like to be earning, and then get it going. Once you get started, you could be surprised by how much you enjoy it.

2. Spend less - we don’t advocate living poor and dying rich, so to get the right balance you need to learn how to manage your money. Whatever you pay attention to improves.

Figure how out how much you’re spending right now, write it down. All of it. How much of this is unnecessary? Decide to cut the waste and reduce your expenses.

For example, you might decide to cancel the gym membership that you weren’t really using, and begin road running, or doing bodyweight exercises instead. You might start eating out less often, we’re not suggesting never, but get smart.

Once your income starts to exceed your outgoings and it could be much sooner than you think, this is where money management starts to get fun. We recommend that you set aside an equal portion of your disposable monthly income, say 5-10% towards Debt Elimination (over and above your regular monthly payment), Wealth Accumulation, Charity and a Play Account.

As you become more successful and enjoy managing your money, the amounts that you contribute to each of these respective accounts will grow and you will derive greater and greater benefit and satisfaction from your increased financial ability.

This is only the beginning!

A New Life - How to Deal With Haters and Envy

Hater is an urban term used to describe someone who thumbs their nose at our progress or success. I’m writing this article to help the countless number of people who encounter jealous on their way to success. I hope to give you a better understanding of haters and why it happens.

In this circle of life we operate by our belief of possibility. Any time someone exceeds beyond what we feel is possible; we are shocked and sometimes envious. This is a natural law of human behavior. Jealousy is a drive through. Sure you didn’t order it, but it’s in your bag.

Even some of our closes family members display signs of envy at times. Sometimes we detect a bit of distant in their happiness for our achievements. This distant is perceived as jealousy. Friends and family mean well however most can’t find happiness in their own life or career. How can they give you something they don’t have? Those who abandon their dreams cannot speak life into yours. Can they?

My Last advice, do not allow hatred or jealousy to consume your life. We as human, have a natural instinct to seek refuge from betrayal and aggression. The problem doesn’t come by seeking sympathy from our peers. The problem comes, when we choose to dwell on the event. As a result, the hatred begins to dwell in our hearts and minds and we become the hater. You must put the event in your past and move on. By doing so you will continue on your path to success.

DIY Bathroom Layout

Author:

If you’re building or remodeling your home, the bathroom is one space you can’t afford to overlook. Considering how much time you spend in this room, you definitely want it to be comfortable, functional and good looking. The bathroom is more than a space for three necessary fixtures; it’s the place where you can relax after a long day, change your clothes, mend your wounds, apply your makeup, comb your hair, and take care of a multitude of other grooming and hygiene needs. It’s probably the first room you visit in the morning and the last room you visit at night.

In your bathroom layout & space planning concepts, forget about doing any electrical or plumbing jobs yourself. Leave that to a licensed professional. That professional will also be aware of the local building codes to make sure your bathroom is not only legal, but safe. But if you are planning any major bathroom layout & space planning, such as knocking a wall down to add a windmill you better check with your local zoning board to see if you are allowed to do so, or if you need a building permit.

Your local zoning board may need a plan of your bathroom layout & space planning of your renovation project before they can issue you a permit. You can sketch your ideas, use graph paper, or use a home renovation software program to print out plans to submit.

You’ll need to include the square footage of the completed project, materials used and if there are any major changes (like having his or her toilets in the same bathroom - hey, it could happen).

Your first bathroom layout & space planning designs will not be perfect. Expect to make mistakes. This is how we learn. Be sure to note where doors, windows, plumbing and electrical outlets are in your proposed bathroom layout & space planning designs. By separating the fixtures into individualized compartments, several family members can use the space together while retaining some privacy. For example, the tub/shower and toilet could be placed in one space and a single or double-bowl vanity in a second area. This would allow one person to use the vanity area while someone else was using the tub/shower area. Dividing the space into three separate areas may be the best approach for a larger family. One long vanity, with the toilet and tub/shower in their own nooks, allows three people to use the space concurrently.

Don’t be too attached to these plans, as most likely they will go under constant modification from the zoning board, any hired professionals, or your own brain. Remember to keep in mind when drawing your bathroom layout & space planning that eventually you’ll have to clean everything. You need materials that clean easily, and cabinets that fit when pulled out or to be physically able to reach the toilet paper when you are sitting on the toilet. You need to be able to easily maneuver about fixtures in order to give them a good clean, or repairs, if need be.

Carpet Cleaning Diy To Save You Money

There are many home services that cost a lot to get done professionally - yet, surprisingly, are easy to do yourself. The “DIY” lifestyle means that we can save money and hassle by doing almost everything ourselves. It turns out that cleaning your carpets is a great example - it can run you into the thousands of dollars for a professional cleaning, but you can duplicate it for under a hundred dollars - with the same high-quality results.

Although we’d still recommend professional cleaning for antiques and specialty fabrics, cleaning your ordinary pile or berber carpet is simple. If you’re interested in carpet cleaning diy, the first thing you will need is a carpet cleaning machine. These wet vacs retail for hundreds of dollars, but you can rent one for about 20 to 40 dollars.

Also purchase some carpet cleaning solution. You can buy the gallon jugs near the cleaner rental station, but these tend to be a bit expensive. Another option is to pick up some regular carpet cleaning products (the kind that come in a small spray bottle) and dilute them. Normally you would use at least 3 parts water per one part cleaning product.

For the ultimate DIYer, it is possible to make your own cleaning solutions. Most depend on a combination of vinegar, baking soda, diluted bleach, and/or detergents. Look online for a specific recipe, but be aware that carpets are so easy to damage or discolor, and carpet cleaning machines may not be suited for a homemade cleaning solution. It is often better to use a purchased cleaning formula instead.

Follow the manufacturer’s directions on cleaning your carpet. It is often a good idea to pretreat (spray) set-in stains and really grungy areas. Let the pretreated areas sit for at least an hour or two before going over them with the carpet cleaning machine. Keep in mind that according to many carpet cleaning recommendations, it might make sense to go over all areas at least twice.

After you have completed your carpet cleaning diy job, you want to make sure your carpet dries thoroughly to prevent pile crushing and mold and mildew formation. Leave the windows and doors open for a few hours or overnight, if possible. When your carpet cleaning diy job is done, sit back and count all the money you’ve saved!
