A loft bed with desk is similar to a bunk bed but instead of another bed, you will see an open space underneath the bed. This type of bed is very well known among college students dormitory rooms. The free space beneath the bed can accommodate more fixtures.

Ladders are necessary for a loft bed. Some ladders come with safety bars to help the client. The concept for lofts has been around for years. However, manufacturers are now targeting college students instead of children like they what they used to do in the past.
The most observable advantage of a loft is its ability to save space. Since you cannot add more space to a small room, the next best move is to use the topmost part of the room. This is exactly what a loft does. It makes use of the space below and above.
Loft beds can come with a built in drawer or a desk where you can study or do your work. You can place your computer or school materials on the desk. Or, it could come with a built-in toys chest where you can store kids toys. The organizational possibilities of lofts are limitless.
Books, school materials and a lamp could turn the open space immediately into a study or work place. This is perfect for students or work at home moms who want a place just for themselves. If you need additional space for closets, you should add hanging racks, cabinets and drawers for your clothes.
A futon seating on the open space, you could turn this into a place where you can talk to your guests. Or, if they need to sleep for the night, the futon can become an instant bed. Children can have toy chests as storage place for their toys. Tents and curtains could accentuate the bed and turn it into an enjoyable camping area.
You could make an entertainment center with the space and fill it with TV, DVD player and video game consoles as well as chairs. If you want a dining place then it can accommodate dining room table sets too. This will combine the bedroom and dining area for you. If you share the room with another person, you may move his bed underneath the loft to free more spaces in the room.
